Prior to joining LBNL, Aashish was in the cyber security team at NCSA from 2003-2010. At LBNL he is directly responsible for day-to-day security operations of the Berkeley Lab and performs On-Call duties which include having access and mandates to block/unblock IP addresses, domains and network(s), in addition to performing full incident response procedures in an event of a compromise. Aashish is also responsible to run Bro IDS at the Berkeley Lab.

With more than 16 years experience as the Deputy CIO, Adam leads risk-management, cyber security strategy, assurance and compliance, and overall technical strategy in cloud, HPC, collaboration technologies, and data centers. Prior to joining the Lab, Adam spent 8 years as a researcher at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Ahmad Sultan is the Cybersecurity Policy Manager and Privacy Officer at Berkeley Lab. He has advised on a broad range of technology policy challenges, from testifying before Congress on Cybersecurity Challenges for State and Local Governments, to leading the Technology Policy and Research team at the Center for Technology and Society. Ahmad has a Master of Public Policy from the Goldman School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley. At Cal, Ahmad also designed and taught a course on Speech and Affordances on Social Media as an Adjunct Professor at the School of Information.
