Program

Preliminary program information is provided below for planning purposes. All event details are subject to change. 

Date and Time

Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. 

Lunch will be served to onsite participants at 12:00 PM.

Location

LabTech 2023 is a hybrid event. Sessions will take place at Berkeley Lab in the Building 50 Auditorium, 50A-5132 Conference Room, and 50B-4205 Conference Room.  Onsite attendees will be served lunch and snacks and will have access to our demonstration room.

All speaker sessions will be broadcast using Zoom. Zoom links will be provided to registrants ahead of time and recordings will be made available after the event is complete.

The lunchtime keynote is a LabTech tradition, with highlights of everything new, interesting, and useful from the past year - and a view of what's to come. 

Program tracks are described below with examples of topics which may be addressed during the sessions. The full schedule will be published on this site as event details are finalized. 

ScienceIT Track

The ScienceIT track focuses on facilitating the use of scientific computing and data tools to accomplish research at Berkeley Lab. Topics include high-performance computing services, cloud computing platforms, research data management, and storage.

Collaboration & Productivity Track

The Collaboration & Productivity track focuses on providing tools and knowledge to enable Lab staff to work together more effectively, no matter your location. Topics include new features for Google Workspace applications and resources to support hybrid meetings and events.   Anticipated sessions include: AppSheet Basics, Getting Started with Looker Studio, Advanced Hybrid Meetings, People and Profiles, Working with AI, and more.
